Guest speaker at the Battle of the Cheetahs , Oogst 1000 Wonderland is a design for a self-sufficient farm, restaurant, hotel and amusement park for 1,000 people per day. Food for the restaurant comes from the central structure and directly adjacent fields. They combine fun with usefulness. Hotel guests are also the farmers, when you work, you can stay for free. Oogst 1000 does also has the worlds first toilets that are linked to a bio-gas energy system and were you actually get paid € 0.50 per visit.
Rest on a honey farm

The New York company Chandelier Creative created Surf Shack in Montaux. This is a weekend destination, exclusive for employees, clients and friends, to relax and to get inspired. Also, they cultivate special honey, which are created and packaged by employees, and serves as a gift to the weekend-guests.
Panic room

Tilt, an international known graffiti artist, designed a hotelroom for The Au Veaux hotel in France. With help of his friends Tober, Grizz, and Don Cho he designed half of the room with graffiti. The other side of the room they left blank to emphasize the ‘chaos’. It took one week before the room was finished.

Worlds tallest chef table

Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong hotel will soon have the world’s tallest chef table. On the 102nd floor of the hotel (420 meters above sea level) the Chef’s Table is set in a private dining room with an open kitchen. The table is available for up to eight guests and bookings must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Saffron tea

The organic saffron farm Lo Zaff sells saffron tea since 2011. The tradition of saffron tea goes back for centuries and is a natural medicine against depression, reduced vision, insomnia and memory loss. City Hub

Sem Schuurkes and Pieter Tilburg devised ‘City Hub’, a budget hotel concept. The “city hubs” are stand alone objects that can be easily placed in buildings. And through crowfunding, they want to collect enough money for this concept. A beta version is launched in Amsterdam this April. Watch the movie for an impression!
Day Use Hotel

Day Use Hotels is an online guide that gives an overview of hotels which rent rooms for a few hours. The prices are 30% to 70% cheaper compared to the standard one night reservations. Currently the list count 200 hotels in Europe. There is also an app available of the ‘Day Use Hotels’.

Marry for 1 day

At the Grand Hotel Karel V (Netherlands) you can marry on February 28th for one day. With your best friend, boyfriend, again with your husband / wife … you name it. In the hotel there is a room decorated for the occasion. You can also borrow clothing, such as wedding dresses in various sizes by the hotel is settled. And after the wedding ceremony, you get a photo as a souvenir!
