Conference hotel Kapellerput has developed a new meeting concept. This new concept consists of a workspace for about 12 persons which can be devided and three Creationrooms. These rooms have their own atmosphere and colours (blue, red and green). The room features a glasswall for brainstorming, an interactive projector, a Bang & Olufsen docking station, WiFi and modern high-tech lighting technology. In addition they serve brainfood and drinks.
The Argentinian and Mexican restaurant El Paso in Hindeloopen, Friesland, the Netherlands has his own growth measure pole. Their restaurant is a seasonal business, during the first visit of kids they measure them, put a mark with their name and date on the growth pole. The children and parents love it and it’s fun to see how big they become over the years. And a lot of parents do come back when in the neigborhood!

In Shanghai the Pudong Kangqiao branded hotel is built. The hotel features a swimming pool, located at the 24th floor of the hotel. It is a 30 meters long swimming pool and is hanging over the edge of the building. Unique about this swimming pool is that there is a glass floor. You are swimming 24 floors above the ground with nothing but a floor of glass underneath!
In a Dutch radio program, Kunststof, guests are requested to make a statement of remark on a tile, as sign that they have been in the program. We saw this picture on pinterest, bit more complicated then leaving a review on a social media site but more fun! And perhaps it’s an idea to make nice compliment tiles on your terrace!
OOIIO Architecture designed an open space on the lower level of a new hotel in Reykjavik that can be used as a theater, including restaurants, shops and the hotel lobby facing it. The Water Discus Hotel in Dubai is a hotel that is partially located under water. The 21 rooms are below the surface of the sea. The windows of the rooms are high, so you have a good view of the sea life. The restaurant, spa and reception are above the waterline. It’s unknown when the hotel opens.
