Hotel Ghent was built by the Japanese artist Tazu Rous. He wanted to eliminate the separation between the public and private space. The 109 available nights in the TRACK-art Hotel Ghent were fully booked within 23 minutes. Hotel Ghent is built around the clock on the tower of the Sint-Pietersstation in Belgium, 23 meters above ground level.

The Friend House ecohotel is an environmentally friendly hotel in the Ukraine. The hotel is constructed entirely from naturally occurring materials—specifically wood, clay, stone and reed. Each bulbous dwelling has several windows that, from the outside, appear as finger holes in a bowling ball. The hotel is located on a large patch of land near Ukraine’s Orel River.
