Today, Tjuvholmen – now a peninsula – is home to one of Scandinavia’s most exciting urban renewal projects. Business, art and nightlife, are all combined, it also became a dazzling showcase of contemporary European architecture. In the center of it all is The Thief, an upscale waterfront hotel. Create an attraction with Christmas

Design studio tha ltd. created a festive gingerbread village, which has been installed in MUJI’s Yurakucho store in Japan, and will stay there until December 25th. The miniature scene, made up of a hundred houses and lots of MUJI Christmas candy, can also be viewed from a dedicated website on a 24-hour livestream. The tasty diorama is interactive and visitors can tag a tweet or photo with the hashtag #mujixmas on Twitter or Instagram to see it appear in real-time on a small digital screen in the village and on the website.

If the room isn’t booked, guests can choose to checkout a few hours later, or even a few days later, for free! The winter is on its way, so it is almost time for the ice hotels. But which ice hotels are a ‘must-see’? The ice hotel in Québec in Canada, called Hotel de Glace, is the most famous hotel, which opens each winter since 2001. Coming winter this hotel opens its door on January 5 till March 24. In the Swedish village Jukkasjärvi, the ice hotel opens already on December 7. It features also a bar and several ice sculptures created by several artists.
