Last week Remia introduced their new ‘Bikkelsauce’ and to celebrate this, they introduced a new phenomenon: the ‘Bikkeltable’. On this special, custom-made, foil-wrapped table guests can enjoy a big portion of fries with sauce. The first ever ‘bikkeltable’ was introduced last Friday at Lunchroom Kruimeltje in the Dutch city Krimpen a/d IJssel, the city where the recipe of the Bikkelsauce was born. lees verder

The Aviary cocktail bar | Grant Achatz will open a second location in New York

Last week Grant Achatz announced the opening of a second location of his world famous Aviary cocktail bar in New York. The first location of the Aviary cocktail bar is in Chicago, near Grant Achatz famous restaurant Alinea (*** Michelin). There were rumours but now it has been confirmed, the Aviary cocktail bar will open this summer at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in the Time Warner building at Columbus Circle. Usagi no Nedoko a shop, small inn and café in Kyoto is a highly unique concept that is inspired by nature. Artist Koichi Yoshimura developed a way to preserve plants in acrylic cubes, which he calls ‘Sola Cubes’. In their café they reimagined rocks, minerals and other objects of the nature in a seasonal inspired menu. Almost too beautiful to eat.
