Dior designer John Galliano has teamed up with the famous pastry café in Paris Ladurée to make macaroons. They are available in the flavor ‘pink and ginger’ and are specially made to promote the new fragrance by Galliano, Parlez-Moi d’Amour. From early November, the macarons are for sale in France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Switzerland, Monaco and the UK.

Free drinks and snacks at Japanese cafe

The Free Cafe at Harimaya Station in Japan offers customers free drinks and snacks at any time of day. Inventor of this concept Honten Maya Hari, a known producer of rice crackers in Japan. Guests can enjoy freshly brewed tea or coffee with a rice cracker. There are now seven of these Hari Maya cafes in Japan and next to advertising its rice crackers, Honten hopes that people will become more environmentally aware and treat ech other woth more respect after a visit to one of his pubs.

Fashion designer Christian Lacroix designed a special bottle for the 18 Year Old Limited edition by Chivas Regal.The bottle has the famous Chivas shape, but was inspired by French jacquard style for this special occasion. The Chivas Regal 18 Year Old is for sale from November in a limited number of stores for $ 495,=.

 

Twiner at Xanders Bazar

Xanders Bazaar Winebar and Kitchen, located in Zwolle (The Netherlands), started a Twitterconcept called Twiner, which stands for Twitter, diner and wine. Every 2 weeks, this restaurant acts as a meeting place for 13 Tweeps. During a Twiner-evening, a three-course diner costs € 24,50, excluding the wine.
