Fly 2 Miami with KLM and Twitter

DJs, promoters and other people in the music industry thought it was about time KLM Rpyal Dutch Airlines started offering direct flights to Miami. Therefore, they made a bet with the Twitter team of KLM. When ‘Fly2Miami could get more than 351 passengers via Twitter, KLM would arrange a flight. After five hours the flight on March 21st was already booked. Currently there are already over 450 registrations for the flight to Miami.

Designer Alvaro Uribe has designed a wine glass. The glass is introduced at the Tipsy Wineglass Conceot Testing at the MOMA in San Francisco. Good wine is tested by his look, smell and taste. This glass’s head tips forward, to give acces to the best qualities of the wine.

Guests who did book a room before January 18 (2011) at Aloft by Foursquare, received 20 percent discount at the bar of the hotel.

Google wants to serve information to users without them searching for something, but based on their browsing or location profile, “contextual discovery”. For example: If you’re in a restaurant, Google can, based on the location of your mobile, provide you automatically a message with a link to the menu, along with indications of what your friends like to eat. Coming in 2011.
