McDonald’s started a co-creation campaign in the Netherlands. Consumers can create their own burger on the website. Website visitors can vote for this burger, and the burger with the most votes will become the Dutch most famous Burger. This hamburger will be sold in all Dutch locations under the name of the winner. On September the 17th the winner will be announced, the winning burger is available from 18 September.

It’Sugar, a shop spotted in Dubai (Mall of the Emirates) with shops in the United States as well. The IT’SUGAR experience, is set against a soundtrack that makes you want to get up and dance in the store, which is exactly what the staff does! Every time the ‘I Want Candy’ track is played, the staff (dressed in eye-catching “sweet” customized dungarees) breaks into a spontaneous dance routine – something which needs to be seen.

The Kensington Hotel in London will be hosting classes to help children understand table manners with easy-to-learn tips and tricks. The ‘Petite Etiquette’ is a one-hour complimentary class open to children aged between five and ten.

High-end hotels sometimes offer an array of luxury soaps and other personal cleansing items. We haven’t seen the personalization and selection at the level of Mexico’s Viceroy Riviera Maya before. A ‘soap concierge’ at the newly renovated luxury hotel now offers guests a choice of locally made soaps and then hand-cuts bars on the spot from their selections.

Restaurant De Wits organizes a special Sunday for it’s members. There are free workshops during the afternoon (for example making pasta, taste wine or oysters) and a (paid) pre-taste of five new menu dishes at the evening. A simple but effective concept. Why? It creates community bonding, the free activities are interesting and there is a good change that people will return.
