Message in a bottle 2

This coming August 25th, VVV Texel (tourist information) will send the first Message in a bottle 2.0: a buoy will be thrown in the water and will be tracked through GPS. Everybody can send messages to this buoy through social media. The finder will receive all the messages and will win several prices, including a full-serviced trip to the Dutch island Texel. Where this buoy will be dropped, is still a secret and where it will reach the shore, is totally depending on the weather conditions. A nice example of cooperation.

The Polish vodka brand Ultimat Vodka made a video of their afternoon guerrilla campaign in Chicago and New York. A guy in business suit poses as window washer and invites white-collar office drones to have a drink. Watch the video ‘Stop working, start drinking’.
UV paint Life After Dark billboard

Australian brewery Coopers created an unique “Life After Dark” billboard in Melbourne. The billboard is handcrafted with ultraviolet paint by Chicago based illustrator Pose and only visible at night. The billboard showcases Coopers Dark Ale during the day, while the complex nightlife drawing materializes at night.

‘Antwerpen Proeft’ (Antwerp Tastes) is Belgium’s culinary highlight this summer. Chefs with a 15+ ranking in the Gault&Millau BeLux will cook all-in arrangements as well as bites for visitors. The Chéfs that participate this year are Viki Geunes (‘t Zilte), Wouter Keersmaekers (De Schone van Boskoop), Axel Colonna-Cesari (Centpourcent), Dave De Belder (De Godevaart) and Kaasaffineurs Michel Van Tricht & Zoon (cheese and beer pairing experts).
Next to the prominent chefs there are local and artisanal products like hand made Moon Pops ice creams.

The In-N-Out pop-up restaurant that opened on the 24th of July in Singapore was sold out within 5 minutes. The fast food chain tests if it should expand to Asia, another pop-up store for one day opened in Tokyo in March.

The beer brand uses a mix of online, offline and mobile marketing for this promotion. Ads with QR-codes are placed at different blogs and websites each day, these locations are traceable by messages on the Grolsch Twitter account.
