Cookieboy is originally a fashion-designer but switched to baking and desiging  cookies. His cookies are used for several projects like the LaForet Harajuku shopping complex en the musuem of Tokyo. Next to these exhibitions he works with brands like Issey Miyake. Also nice as ‘follow-me-on-Twitter’-cookie with the coffee.

Last week we’ve informed you about a new ‘ healthy’  McDonalds concept in Paris. It’s not the first time that health is on the agenda of McDonald’s. In 2008 at Stockholm, the fastfood restaurant based a campaign on their visitors’ movement habits. Depending on their choice for stairs or escalator, they would see an Coca Cola regular of light advertisement.

In partnership with Soundwalk, Louis Vuitton organized in 2008 serveral audio-guided citytours in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. For € 12,= per person, you could enjoy of stories of theses cities. A nice example of brand stretching, when a company is focusing on new unexplored markets. Other examples of brand stretching, is the Armani hotel or the Ralph Lauren restaurant.

SOK, Summer Espresso Lab opens in Amsterdam

Announced today via Twitter: This Friday opens pop-up espresso bar SOK. It’s the new pop-up espressobar from Onno van Zanten, Sander Schat and Kees Kraakman. The name SOK represents the first letters of the initiators: Sander, Onno and Kees. The esspresso bar will open at the Hartenstraat 34, Amsterdam.

McDonald’s is testing a new restaurant concept without hamburgers in La Defense business district in Paris. At the McCafe & Salads Live, salads are freshly prepared at the request of the consumer. French fries and hamburgers are not on the menu.

 Limburgs Land Ur-Weizen. A carbon neutral ecological beer! This beer is an addition to the existing ecological climate-neutral products of the ‘Limburgs Land’ line from Gulpener. This Weizen beer is brewed exclusively with organic wheat, barley, hops and pure water from their natural sources. The raw materials are, just like the other beers of Gulpener, cultivated by farmers in Limburg (The Netherlands).

For the first time, the QR-code is used in the wine industry. This new mobile technology is applied at Wijnen & Likeuren Dulst, Blanden (Belgium). The try-out wines come with a QR code which can be scanned with a smartphone. The code links directly to a website where all information about the wine is readable on the screen of the phone: Where is the wine produced? What is the composition? How long can I store the wine? Next to which dish can I serve this wine best?
