They call it the ‘Hotel of the future ‘. Research has been conducted into the possibilities of a hotel or office in a windmill. Norway looks to bet the ideal candidate because of it’s long winding coastline.

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and artist Höller provide a unique opportunity for a one night sleep in a museum. Guests are offered day and night access to the entire museum, a private butler and can sleep in a work of art. The Revolving Hotel Room consists of three rotating discs a wardrobe, a desk and chairs and a bed wearing. A fourth disc bears the very slowly rotating different disks

 

Spa-boat in Norway

A fishing boat from the ’50s has been transformed into a “Spaboot”. There is a Turkish Hammam (bath, shower and heated floor) and a Zen Lounge with fireplace, sauna and panoramic views. With a number of bedrooms and a restaurant, guests are provided a good weekend.

Truck at NYC Restaurantweek

During NYC Restaurant Week in 2010 for the first time a truck is used. The truck will be used between the 25th and 29th of January and from the first of February to the 5th.  The truck will drive through Manhattan during lunch and people in busy locations will be offered a cup of soup. Each day a different restaurant will provide the soup. Via twitter and www.nycgo.com/restaurantweek, people can track where the truck will be located.

This Boeing 747 in Korea is placed right in the center of the city between the appartmentbuildings. The hull has been converted into a dining area and for a VIP experience the cockpit is furnished into a private dining area.

 

Picnic on the German Autobahn

On July 18th it was possible to picnic between Duisburg and Dortmund, Germany (A40 motorway). For a period of 31 hours a 60 km piece of the highway was closed for all traffic. 20,000 tables were placed on the autobahn. Is was a promotion of de Rühr toerism agency.

Armani hotel in world’s tallest building

In the world’s tallest building situated in Dubai, Burj Dubai, the Armani Hotel will open its doors on March 18th. The hotel has 160 rooms the first eight floors. The suites are located on the 38th and 39th floor. The Dutch designer Titus van der Werf designed the hotel.
