The former maritime school in Delfshaven has been turned into a trendy ‘knowledge, art and culture factory’ where people go out, work, eat and drink, meet and a daycare for children is available. With a grand café and restaurant, they do address both people who work in “The Machinist”  as the inhabitants of Delfshaven and beyond. “The Machinist” opened March 7th.

On March 18th this new hotel in Zaandam will be open. The hotel consists of nearly 70 traditional houses that are stacked. The big eye-catcher is the blue house on top of the hotel, which was designed after a painting by Claude Monet.
