- Hilton Amsterdam recently celebrated the arrival of the first keg of ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’ (herring) on their waterside terrace for the 29th time, with an Olympic touch and special preparations.
- Last Friday, June 21st, restaurant Soigné organised an ‘EK 3-course meal‘ and restaurant de Burgemeester (the Mayor) organised an ‘EK dinner for champions‘. A delicious meal and on time for the match of the Netherlands – France! Great idea?
- The Connaught recently unveiled an art installation by Alex Israel in London’s Carlos Place. They also sell ice creams inspired by the artwork.
- Seventh Brunch wins award for best brunch in Lisbon from Tripadvisor.
- Haarlem-based craft brewery Jopen has made an IPA with desalinated North Sea water from SEA Water.
- Reopening of sustainable restaurant Nolla in Helsinki, 2 special nights of cooking without electricity.

Brouwerij Gudzekop | Frisian beers

The owners Diermar Laske and his wife Trea of Brouwerij Gudzekop (brewery) have been making craft beers since 2018. They value quality and stand out with authentic flavours. They incorporate local products into their beers, such as Frisian sugar bread, Frisian rye bread, Frisian gingerbread and this results in, among others, a ‘Opsteker’ – Blonde, a ‘Overseas’ – American Pale Ale, a ‘Opgedirkt’ – Raspberry Weizen, a ‘Voor de Wind’ – session witbier, a ‘Voortvarend’- Milkstout, a ‘Op de Helling’ – double bock and more beers with great Dutch names!

Taco Bell and Revolution Carts empower local food vendors in LA

Taco Bell is stepping up to help bring the locally iconic Ave 26 Family Night Market back to downtown LA for pop-up events during three upcoming Taco Tuesdays. As an extension from last year’s partnership, Taco Bell and Revolution Carts are providing 26 sidewalk-legal food carts to local street vendors this summer. These Revolution Carts will be distributed at each of the Ave 26 events, which will be held in the Arts District on June 18, July 23 and August 13, 2024.
