In their stories Starbucks re-announced their global ‘Starbucks Greener Stores’ commitment and McDonald’s announced that they will accelerate climate actions to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Promising is the affiliation with organizations as the United Nations (McDonald’s) and the SCS Global Services and World Wildlife Fund by Starbucks.
Accor & Ennismore announced a joint venture in which both chains contribute their added value. The joint venture will make Ennismore the largest and fastest growing lifestyle hospitality company.
A great initiative by 3 French companies: the Citroën Skate. Citroën created 3 new service pods with Accor and JCDecaux: Sofitel En Voyage, Pullman Power Fitness and JCDecaux City Provider.

Facilicom Group launches new F&B division for employers

Facilicom Group, one of the largest facility services organizations in the Netherlands, launches their new F&B division today: Food&i. With Food&i, the Facilicom Group is stepping off of the beaten track of the catering market. Food&i offers employers various F&B services such as a restaurant, coffee bar and Foodwall at the office in combination with an app. Through this app, employees receive personal nutritional advice every day to make a conscious and healthy choice at the office.
Food&i is an innovative, healthy and sustainable catering concept that uses technology and personalization to reduce waste. They develop food where, when and how the employee and the employer want it, so that everyone will feel better and more productive. Food&i provides transparency in the food chain and reduces CO2 emissions by working with as many local parties as possible.

Oreo opened their first café in New Jersey. The café consists of a shop offering Oreo cookies and other Oreo treats, and fast-service where you can order Oreo treats. And in New York another sweet hybride is gaining popularity: the Croffle. This is a soft, buttery and layered croissant toasted in a waffle iron and sprinkled with different toppings.

That is what the Horeca Inspiratie Maatschappij (HIM+) stands for, the parent organization of various food and hotel concepts in the region Achterhoek. The group gives national monuments from the region a new, connecting function as a meeting place where contemporary enjoyment is the key issue. The group recently expanded with the acquisition of Hotel de Wereld (Hotel The World) and the opening of the brand new boutique hotel Villa Wanrooy. In addition, HIM+ is fully committed to sustainable and circular catering concepts, of which the Green Michelin star obtained in March 2021 at restaurant Lokaal in Villa Ruimzicht is a direct result.
