No barrel-aged wine or whiskey, but cocktails. We see this more often. The only thing you need is a barrel, a funnel, a sieve and six weeks. After the aging, the cocktail had absorbed the wood tones for a new harmonious flavour. When can we drink this is a Dutch bar? Or is this something to try at home?

From ferry to luxurious spa

This 57 year old ferryboat found its new function as luxurious day-spa. Bota Bota, which is designed by Sid Lee Architecture, can be found in Montreal’s Old Port. This five decks fitted boat offers various (sauna-) facilities in a beautiful panoramic setting.

Recently a tiramisu-shop opened in Manhattan, which is an answer to the current trend in Italy where they are experimenting with different tastes of tiramisu. At Dolce Vizio, tiramisu-lovers can choose of six different tastes from limoncello to nutella. But it is possible as well to compose your own taste by choosing of several sauces and toppings.

Sprite has developed an interactive YouTube commercial to promote their new Sprite Zero. The viewer can interact by pressing the keys 4 to 9 on the keyboard. It’s a creative example of the possibilities on YouTube.

Restaurant dishes available in the supermarket

ASDA supermarket chain, known from the British Walmart, started an experiment by selling take-away dishes of local restaurants. These are dishes of the Arabic, Pakistani and Indian kitchen. Last spring, the ASDA started a cooperation with the restaurant chain Zouk, since then the sales are tripled. Next year, this experiment will be extended to London.
