Opening – Barista Cafe, known for its quality coffee, fresh lunch dishes, artisanal sweets and homely ambiance, is opening a new store in the Leidsche Rijn Centrum in Utrecht. In the former premises of Doppio, Barista Cafe is creating a place that will act as the living room in the Leidsche Rijn Centre. Entrepreneurs Jos Brons and Sam van Doorn are looking forward to this new challenge. To kick off the festive opening, Jos and Sam will hand out free cappuccinos to visitors on Thursday May 30.

As of today, the Leidsche Rijn Centrum has a great, new breakfast, lunch and drinks hotspot. At this Barista Cafe, a great ambiance and serving quality dishes is central. “The core values of ‘Barista Cafe‘ align perfectly with mine. For me, it’s all about fun in the workplace, and ‘Sharing moments’ fits perfectly with that. We look forward to spoiling our guests and creating a place where people can enjoy high-quality coffee and tasty dishes at any time of the day. In short, this will be ‘the place to be’,” says Jos Brons.
A duo with passion
Jos and Sam are experienced entrepreneurs with a deep-rooted passion for the business. Previously Sam has been part of the Barista Cafe family for three years, while Jos has owned a successful Bakker Bart outlet in Nieuwegein for over seven years. Together, they bring not only experience but also a good dose of energy to invest in this new venture. Chances are that for entrepreneur Jos it will not stop here: “Of course we hope first and foremost that this new outlet will be successful. But I also look forward to possibly opening more Barista Cafes in Utrecht and its surroundings in the future.”
About the chain of Barista Cafe
What started in 2009 as a dream to serve the best coffee in Alphen aan den Rijn, has grown into a national concept with more than 20 stores throughout the Netherlands. A place where you can enjoy high-quality coffee, a light breakfast, tasty lunch or good drinks. Their motto reads ‘Sharing moments’. From the end of May, entrepreneurs Jos Brons and Sam van Doorn will be ready with a smile to welcome all guests at Barista Cafe Leidsche Rijn.
