An ‘all you can eat fries’ concept at McDonald’s of the future?
A dream of many might become true this summer! The owner of a McDonalds in the American state Missouri is planning to open an ‘all you can eat fries’ concept. This means enjoying unlimited gold-yellow fries.
The future McDonald’s
It is not only the ‘all you can eat fries’ concept which is innovative about this McDondals, owner Chris Habiger has bigger plans. There will be interactive light board tables with tabletop video games while the restaurant provides a modern look and feels. Also, there will be a ‘Build-your-own-burger’ kiosk in the restaurant. In this kiosk you are able to make your own burger from head to toe. “There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams. Once you’ve placed your order, you can find your seat because we’ll bring it out to you”, says Chris in an interview with the St. Josephs NewsPress.
The new, 6,500-square-foot restaurant is expected to open in July and there will be an option for guests to order through the digital kiosks within the restaurant. This doesn’t mean that jobs will disappear. Moreover, Chris plans to hire 85 extra new employees in the next several months.
It still remains unclear for us if the big plans are only the franchisee’s opinion or if McCorporate agrees. Earlier we wrote about the table service at McDonald’s and also the kiosks can be found in several restaurants already. To describe the project as ‘The McDonald’s of the future’ seems to be a little optimistic. However, we can imagine that a lot of people can’t wait for the first Dutch McDonald’s to be opened at which you can eat unlimited fries over and over again.
