Amber Garden, part of the international ‘Yisheng Group’, opened its doors in Amstelveen (near Amsterdam in the Netherlands) in a festive way on September 23th. Owner, Stark Li, third generation respected Chinese restaurant owner, together with Facility Manager, Ronald Ting, opened restaurant Amber Garden in the company of many corporate companies from the region, culinary enthusiasts and (Michelin) star chefs.

With the arrival of Amber Garden, the municipality of Amstelveen has added a beautiful, authentic fine dining Chinese restaurant at their list of restaurants. Lovers of the authentic Chinese cuisine can enjoy the ‘shared dining’ dishes here. During the opening we enjoyed dishes from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Xi’an. With the dishes you can enjoy wine pairing that are specially selected. For those who want to drink alcohol-free, they also serve delicious tea-based mocktails. True lovers of the Chinese cuisine must visit Amber Garden, if only for the delicious Dim Sum and their signature dish the ‘Amber roasted Beijing duck in the traditional way’. Like chef Shaun Song says: “You no longer need to go to China to be able to enjoy the best dishes China can offer”.

Amber Garden is seen as an absolute asset to the metropolitan region and can serve both the regional and international business community in the Randstad. The restaurant owner is Stark Li, who is responsible for the daily affairs. From mother country China, he has selected Master Chef Shaun Song, who already worked in Beijing at one of the top restaurants of the Li family. Shaun Song is head of a talented, young Chinese team, all of whom have enjoyed renowned chef training.

The Amber Garden team is focused on bringing the Eastern and Western cultures and tastes together in harmony. Amber Garden’s True Chinese Cuisine stands for genuine flavors with a deeper connection through carefully selected, fresh ingredients. Everything (fish, crustacean, shellfish, meat, tofu dishes, vegetables, soups, sauces and desserts) is freshly prepared on a daily basis. The extensive menu is carefully compiled and also offers sufficient vegetarian options.

The ‘Amber roasted Beijing duck in the traditional way’ is the absolute signature dish of Amber Garden. The ‘famous duck’ is dried in the house for 36 hours (dry aged) in special refrigerators and then grilled to perfection. A special team is responsible for the entire preparation process of China’s most famous dish.

Amber Garden, is located in the new, multifunctional and sustainable building complex ‘The Garden Amstelveen’. Amber Garden is part of the international ‘Yisheng Group’ with its headquarters in Beijing, China. The Yisheng Group currently has various projects in China and Europe in its portfolio. The development experience in the Netherlands now covers more than 10 years.

The final responsibility for Amber Garden lies with owner Stark Li, Master chef Shaun Song is responsible for the kitchen. Amber Garden can accommodate 130 people and has 5 private dining rooms on the ground floor for lunch and/or dinner options for groups of 10 to 40 people.

All private rooms are equipped with the most modern equipment for presentations during meetings. On the first floor there is an exclusive bar with patio terrace and also 4 luxury private dining rooms, each equipped with its own atmospheric theme. Amber Garden is closed on Mondays. Open from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch from 12 noon and for dinner from 5:30 pm.
