Christmas inspiration by the Conservatorium Hotel, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Fauchon l’Hôtel Paris, Great Scotland Yard hotel and Le Meurice
Our second Christmas article includes examples of hotels that invite friends and/or designers to decorate their Christmas tree. In the Netherlands we have some hotels with trees decorated by artists, like the Conservatorium Hotel and the Pulitzer hotel. But we spotted more inspiration like the Wish Tree of Fauchon l’Hôtel Paris, the afternoon tea’s at Le Meurice in Paris and their Bûches de Noël (Yule Logs) by Frederic Grolet. And the Afternoon Tea at the Great Scotland Yard hotel looks very Christmassy! Some great examples by luxury hotels. Who knows some of it might inspire you!

Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam celebrated the lighting of their Cartier Christmas tree
Friday November 22nd the Conservatorium Hotel celebrated the lighting of their Cartier Christmas tree with live music, a show-stopping trumpet solo, and a DJ. Great way to start the festive Holiday Season! The Conservatorium Hotel created their tree in collaboration with Cartier, the tree is completely cloaked in Cartier red, infused with festive grandeur. Satin bows are carefully placed in the branches and complemented by deep red and gold ornaments. The bright red neon Cartier logo is located at the heart of the tree and forms the core of this iconic tree.
Besides the impressive tree – on display in the hotel’s atrium until January 6th 2025 – the hotel has now also introduced a unique Cartier Suite, which will be exclusively bookable until January 6th 2025. This suite is carefully decorated with iconic Cartier items, such as luxurious cushions, a stylish blanket, a coffee table book, and aromatic candles. Guests are additionally welcomed with a bottle of Cartier champagne for a refined experience. Check out the images in their reel below and their Cartier Suite Package in the link in the title.

Fauchon l’Hôtel Paris | Wish Tree
We have seen it before but it remains a great idea. The Wish Tree by Fauchon l’Hôtel Paris! From December 1st to 31st, share your wishes by writing a wish on a card and hanging it on their Christmas tree. The Wish Tree is exclusively reserved for the guests of their Grand Café Fauchon! Le Meurice in Paris | Afternoon tea & a sparkling modern tree
Afternoon Tea in restaurant Dali in hotel Le Meurice in Paris. The reel below looks amazing! We love their modern, sparkling tree in the dining room! But the hotel has more festive Holiday Season offers, check them out in the link in the title. Le Meurice is partnering with the Parisian-based jewellery brand, Messika for a festive experience from November 23rd 2024 to January 6th 2025.
Le Meurice and Cedric Grolet also have a traditional yule log for the 2024 festive season which can be preordered as of November 2727th. The logs, designed alongside chefs François Deshayes and Vincent Puma, will be presented in the form of two distinct baskets. The first, The Citrus Basket, is the perfect choice for those looking for something light and fresh, while The Chestnut Basket will suit those looking for a richer taste. A third dessert will also be available for guests to purchase in time for the New Year – the Noisette Galette. This galette is a traditional golden-brown puff pastry with a creamy hazelnut frangipane filling. A simple but delicious dessert to welcome in 2025.

Festive experiences at the Great Scotland Yard hotel
A festive afternoon tea, Christmas menus, and quintessential decorations set the arrival of the festive scene at the five star Great Scotland Yard Hotel, Westminster in London. The perfect stay for a festive break, an 1820’s Grade II listed building with iconic landmarks on its doorstep – it’s also the famous address of a legendary site immersed in iconic British history – originally the HQ of the Metropolitan Police, subsequently taken over by the Ministry of Defence and also used as the recruitment office during both World Wars. We wrote about the opening of the hotel back in 2020.
They have a bespoke collection of Christmas menus, a sumptuous multi-sensory Champagne Afternoon Tea with classic delicacies, such as freshly baked plain and spiced gingerbread scones and cornish clotted cream and blackberry jam. And great Christmas pastry! But they also have a roaring New Year’s Eve party! The Great Scotland Yard Hotel is one of those places to truly celebrate the festive months. Check out the reel below and their press release in the link in the title. Or check out the reel below in which they show the Christmas lights in the vicinity of the hotel.
