Pasquale Carfora of Aroma Italian Fine Dining Restaurant in Vaassen wins Primo dei Campi competition
In Italy, it was big news that even made it to the quality newspaper La Repubblica: Pasquale Carfora, chef of Aroma Italian Fine Dining Restaurant in Vaassen, was named winner of Italy’s renowned Primo dei Campi competition, last week. The competition, organised by 50Top Italy in collaboration with pasta maker Pastificio dei Campi, challenged young talents to reinterpret classic Italian recipes.
Carfora’s winning dish, titled ‘Quando la minestra marita il futuro’ (When the soup marries the future), is a modern interpretation of the traditional ‘minestra maritata’. He used Mezzani di Gragnano IGP pasta and combined traditional elements such as pork shoulder with innovative additions such as kimchi and a Japanese tonkotsu broth based on smoked pork. The app NeoTaste is now extending to other cities outside Amsterdam
We previously wrote about the introduction of the app NeoTaste, the popular restaurant discovery app from Germany, in Amsterdam. This app has now also expanded to The Hague, Haarlem, Leiden, Rotterdam and Utrecht. Culinary enthusiasts can use NeoTaste to enjoy exclusive benefits at a wide range of restaurants, sandwich shops and caterers. NeoTaste’s subscription is a game changer for foodies with unique offers throughout the city.
Surprising deals like 2 pizza’s for the price of 1 or a free coffee, it is easy to earn back your subscription after just one or two uses. Restaurants can use the service for free, so the offer for users is constantly growing. In the app, NeoTaste’s map and filter function provides you with an instant overview of all restaurants, their locations and available offers. For example, there are 455 restaurants connected in Amsterdam and 220 in Rotterdam! More details in the link in the title.

Entrepreneurs Sam and Tess Yeh tell all about their renewed business in the article on Entree Magazine (link in the title), for which E.S.T.I.D.A. did the design. We wish the entrepreneurs good luck and success in the revamped concept!
