Bagels & Beans is creating Strava-art and challenges all outdoor people to look at the world from a different perspective. From September 8 till the 24th, they have set out Strava walking routes in unusual figures in various nature reserves in the Netherlands. Besides a new perspective, participants will have a chance to win an off-grid weekend away in the peaceful wilderness of nature reserve the Veluwe at the Quadenoord estate. Strava-art or walking art
Bagels & Beans’ walking routes can be found on Strava, the online platform for sharing your cycling or walking routes with others. Routes in the shape of a special figure are called Strava-art. Although these can really only be admired from the air, the platform also makes the walking art visible to the unwary. Bagels & Beans has created several routes that may be walked, run, hopped or fluttered. With each movement, participants draw outlines of giant figures created by Bagels & Beans.
A different perspective
Bagels & Beans creates Strava-art and asks everyone to go outside and simply let themselves be amazed by nature in all its simplicity. To ground ourselves while walking and let go of the worries, thoughts or events that sometimes put us on ‘autopilot’. Rest and attention to yourself have been at the heart of Bagels & Beans company from day one. Taking that moment for yourself, but now outside with a coffee in hand and the walking art of Bagels & Beans. Filling your lungs with fresh air. Letting all your worries fly by. So that afterwards you look at life through a new lens. Putting everything in a bird’s eye perspective with both feet on the ground. And that’s important, because a fresh look creates a different perspective.
Quadenoord nature campsite
In cooperation with nature campsite Quadenoord, Bagels & Beans gives away one weekend stay on the beautiful estate among the participants. This special estate is located on the southernmost part of the Dutch nature reserve the Veluwe. Natuurcamping Quadenoord is committed to protecting the pure and flourishing nature of the estate every day.
Back to the base | Bagels & Beans is creating Strava-art
From 6 to 8 October, the winners of this hiking challenge will head to the Veluwe forest to escape the human world in an atmospheric tepee. No coverage, pop-up notifications, electricity or elaborate amenities. Just the morning dew, the crackle of the campfire, each other’s company and the hymns of art-loving birds. To fully recharge, as can only be done in nature.
What you need to do to qualify for this weekend off-grid? Follow the Bagels & Beans Strava account. Create a walking artwork using one of Bagels & Beans’ Strava routes between September 8 and 24. The lucky winner will be announced on September 25th.
