Ocean House Scheveningen is a colourful collection of luxury flats, studios and a superior suite with the ambience and service of a hotel. Located on Keizerstraat, at most a two-minute walk from the beach and among the cosy shops and restaurants, this is the perfect place for families, friends and couples travelling to the beach resort for a weekend, midweek or a week of sun, sea and relaxation.

Picnic baskets for the beach

Ocean House has thirty flats and studios for two to five people, including fully equipped kitchens with all the trimmings. The superior suite has no kitchen, but does have a well-stocked minibar. They are all spacious, with surprising nooks, voids and staircases. Beds are tightly made with clean bedding, dining tables are ready for hours of drawing fun and the fridge is nice and cold for bottles of wine, rich salads and packs of apple juice. Oh, and dogs are also more than welcome; there are even feeders and baskets available for four-legged friends. Although several nice restaurants can be found on the Keizerstraat and on the promenade, the kitchens at Ocean House are also more than capable of delicious cooking; from breakfast to dinner and late night snacks. Of course, it’s best to take everything with you to the beach, which is why Ocean House offers luxurious picnic baskets for, say, a salty lunch or bubbly at sunset. Those who want fresh rolls and croissants for breakfast every day can indicate this when booking. They collaborate with a hot bakery down the street that takes the orders hot from the oven and hangs them on the door every morning.

Present and past come together

Ocean House Scheveningen is in a historic neo-renaissance building from 1899. At the time, the building was built as a ‘kostelooze’ school for primary education, also called a poor school because parents did not have to pay school fees. Ocean House Scheveningen’s accommodations are spread over three floors and decorated by Studio Hank. The designers have made the hotel a warm and modern home base, furnished and decorated with attention to design and quality. Historic details such as the wooden ceiling beams, tall windows and wall tiles in the corridors have been kept intact so that the past and the present both have a place.

Ocean House Scheveningen has a number of parking spaces available for guests in a car park just down the road, but is also easily accessible by public transport.
