Deepspot Pool | Deepest diving pool in the world
This autumn, the deepest diving pool in the world will be put into operation near Warsaw (exactly in Mszczonów). The project is called Deepspot and is unique by its size, but also because of the transparency of water. Crystalline depth of 45 meters (8,000 cubic meters of water, 27 times as much as in ordinary 25-meter swimming pools!) will provide pool users with an extraordinary experience. Deepspot Pool
The temperature of the water will be slightly higher than in traditional swimming pools, so that long hours of staying under water will not force the need of wearing wet suits. The incredibly deep pool basin will enable divers to train at various depths and to implement exercises in accordance with their training programs. The object’s geometry has been designed in such a way that it will enable comprehensive diving training to be completed with an appropriate certificate. Free divers will be able to realize their most sophisticated ideas in Deepspot, and for first time divers, they will be able to begin their adventure under the watchful eye of instructors and use the latest, safe and comfortable equipment.
Total independence from external conditions will make the Deepspot pool ready to receive customers 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For those who don’t like a good dive, there will be an underwater tunnel for spectators, and also conference-, training- and hotel rooms with a view to the interior of the pool. Deepspot is part of Flyspot and at the location you can also enjoy indoor sky diving and experience a Boeing 737-800 simulator.
Technological challenge
The excavation of a 50 meter basin is already a huge challenge. Building such a deep pool is even more challenging. Besides that, how to keep the water as crystal clear as possible. If, in order to maintain the expected standards of purity and transparency, they decided on traditional filtration, it would have to take place 15 times a day. For comparison: in regular public pools, water is filtered 3 times a day. System construction filtration with a capacity of 80 times greater than for a normal pool would not only be economically inefficient, but would also prevent the use of the object. The flow of water through the filter system would result in a giant whirlpool. So a system was created, in which it is enough to replace/filter only 4 times a day! Water extraction and outlets are arranged in such a way that its movement will be practically insensible to users.

Deepspot near Warsaw will be the fourth diving pool in the world offering similar experiences, but the only one so technologically advanced. The other similar pools are:”
- The 40-meter-deep Y-40 swimming pool at the Terme Millepini hotel in the Italian town of Montegrotto Terme, which is about 50 km from Venice. They have a main basin 20 by 18 meters in depth and 10 meters deep. In the bottom is a deep glass with a diameter of 6 meters. The distance from the surface of the water to the bottom of the shaft is up to 40 meters.
- The Nemo 33 pool in Brussels, 33 meters deep, in the diving center in the Belgian capital. Besides the deepest level they also offer two slightly shallower ones : 5 and 10 meters. The basin is filled with 2.5 million liters of non-chlorinated transparent water at 30 ° C. In the depth there are several grots with the possibility of taking air in them. Divers floating in the pool can be observed through the windows placed at various depths.
- Todi pool is the oldest diving pool in Europe and also located in Belgium. It has a depth of 36 meters and a water temperature of 23°C. The water volume is 6.2 thousand m3.
