Largest hotel spa from Switzerland opened | The Alpine Spa of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne
November 6 2017, Switzerland’s largest alpine wellness hotel spa opened in The Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne. For those enjoying a day at the spa, a dream come true. Imagine swimming with stunning views of lake Lucerne and the snow-covered Alps and the pools are even filled with water from the same lake! Check out the images for the design that harmonizes with the surroundings. The Alpine Spa is unique in its size and variety, it’s stretching over an area off more than 10,000 square metres. A modern, indoor and outdoor spa right next to the 5 star hotel Bürgenstock, connected via a skywalk.

The Alpine Spa has 4 indoor and outdoor pools (with temperatures varying between 10°C and a maximum of 40°C), an extensive sauna langscape, saline and Kneipp baths, relaxations rooms and sun terraces (with the same incredible view at the lake and mountains), a complete ladies’spa, restaurant, 15 massage and treatment rooms, 3 private spas with panoramic sauna and steam-bath, pool bar, hairdressing saloons, fitness park with yoga and Pilates studio, solariums and a Kids Club with childcare facilities. The spa extends over 3 floors and is surrounded by a historical garden with a wide variety of plants. The materials used are mainly oak, limestone, marble, glass and bronze. Six wood stoves create a cosy ambience. It’s open to visitors from early morning until late evening and entry is included in the room charge for hotel guest. Since August 2017 the Bürgenstock Resort has been offering numerous packages with boat and funicular, their new offer is the ‘Alpine Spa delight’. This includes the return journey by boat and funicular, entry to the Alpine Spa and discounts on massages and treatments.

This resort is part of the Bürgenstock Selection, based in Zug, Switzerland. The Bürgenstock resort comprises four hotels with a category of three to five-star superior, with 383 rooms and suites, a health & medical centre, 12 restaurants and bars, 67 residence suites, and a wide range of leisure activities. The portfolio of the Selection consists of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne, the Schweizerhof Hotel & Spa Bern (99 rooms) and the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa Lausanne (196 rooms).
