Will you join us for a glass of Sherry? | International Sherry Week
From 6 until the 12th of November 2017 the fourth edition of the International Sherry Week will be hosted, an initiative of the Consejo Regulador Jerez-Xeres-Sherry, (the Sherry Wine Council) in Spain. Last year we wrote about this festival that is the highlight of many Sherry fans around the world. The International Sherry Week brings together thousands of sherry-lovers in a multitude of events organized in more than 25 countries every year. The last couple of years nearly 6,000 Sherry activities have been organized. The Sherry Wine Council invites you to join them for a glass of Sherry.
Ask your guests to join you for a glass of Sherry
In the second week of November, thousands of restaurants, bars, wine shops and bodegas worldwide will host Sherry tastings, serve special menus and organize other Sherry events as an ode to the well-known South Spanish wine. At home, people can participate, for example, by organizing a Sherry evening with friends. Photos and announcements can be posted on the website and shared via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #sherryweek. The registration of both professional events and private initiatives is already possible here. There is also a poster to download.
Last year, the Dutch Sherrylovers participated actively in the Sherryweek: more than 100 initiatives were organized. So start planning an event now, the only condition is that real Sherry (D.O. from Jerez-Xeres-Sherry or Manzanilla Sanlúcar de Barrameda) is used. Register before the 31st of October and you might win a Sherry Educators Course in Jerez.
