Vegan Junk Food Bar | A Mecca for veggies
Vegan Junk Food Bar is a Mecca for vegetarians. As the name suggests, the bar offers a menu filled with vegetarian burgers, sandwiches, fries and other snacks. The dessert is made in collaboration with Professor Grunschnabel, who is known for his gluten and soy-free ice cream. The Vegan Junk Food Bar is located in Oud-West in Amsterdam and a second location will open soon in de ‘Pijp’ on the Marie Heinekenplein.

The Vegan Junk Food Bar is aiming to change the perception of people when they think of veganism, and it’s definitely working out. Not yet halfway after the opening of the first Vegan Junk Food Bar, their second location is about to open. The new bar won’t be an exact replica of the first one, this location is many times bigger. It gives the owners some space to expend the menu with cocktails, gin-tonics, beers and coffees, as mentioned on Entree Magazine. The dishes on the menu as well as the interior and drinks will be presented in an Instagrammable (we see this more often, check out this article for more Instagrammable food & drinks).
Besides the opening of a new location, the bar has also been nominated as Best Newcomer at the Dutch Vegan Awards. This means a lot of movement and exciting projects at the moment! We wish them all the best!
